UK Investment Club Hires ex-Morley FD to Board

Hotbed, a

UK private investor syndicator, has appointed Julius Gottlieb, director of project finance at Australian group Lend Lease, as a non-executive director to its board.

He was until recently finance director at Morley Fund Management and was previously FD of Berkeley Homes. He is also a member of the Bank of England Property Forum and chairs the Property Finance Forum, the dedicated forum for senior property industry finance directors, which he founded in 1995.

He has acted in an informal advisory capacity to Hotbed since 2006.

Hotbed specialises in providing private investors with direct access to private equity and commercial property investment opportunities. To date, Hotbed has invested £61 million in 15 commercial property transactions and achieved six profitable commercial property exits. The average IRR across all commercial property exits is 41 per cent per annum after all costs, fees and carried interest.
