London-based alternative-fund administrator Butterfield Fulcrum
has hired Christine Egan, formerly director of business
development for the fund-services division of Miami-based
accountancy Kaufman Rossin, as part of an expansion of its US
salesforce under global business development chief Andrew
Smith.
Egan joins Bill Neville, Jim Gabriele, John Peterson and Bill
Henderson under the leadership Smith, who joined Butterfield
Fulcrum from Citigroup in April 2009. Since then the fund
processor has opened an office in Chicago and upgraded its US
headquarters in New York with a view to accommodating further
growth and attracting additional talent.
"I am very proud of the team we have assembled to present
Butterfield Fulcrum’s innovations to the hedge-fund industry,”
says Smith. “We feel our product will benefit hedge fund
managers and the tens of millions of individual investors they
represent.”
Butterfield Fulcrum provides administration, middle-office and
risk-reporting services to hedge funds, fund of funds, managed
accounts, private equity and real-estate funds. The UK and US
aside, the company has offices in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada,
the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, India and Ireland.
