UK Firm Launches Single-Property Fund Involving Warehouse Rented By Amazon

UK-based property investment specialist Tritax has launched a £47.2 million ($74 million) single-property fund which aims to give individuals a high-yielding asset-backed investment.

The investment is in a one million square feet warehouse in Scotland rented out to online retailer Amazon for the next 20 years.

Tritax believes that the investment shows how commercial property can provide investors with a good hedge against inflation thanks to five-yearly rent reviews based on the consumer price index.

The firm also said the tax-transparent structure allows both UK and non-resident investors; the minimum investment is £20,000. The fund aims to produce an income distribution of 7 per cent per annum.
