UK's Towry Names New Investment Director

The UK wealth management house has recruited an investment director with three decades of industry experience.
The UK-based wealth and investment management group Towry has hired industry veteran Peter O’Donnell as its London investment director.
O’Donnell will focus on discretionary and advisory clients within Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management. He has 30 years of experience in the private client industry, coming from Brewin Dolphin, where he worked as an investment director for nine years, according to a statement from Towry late last week.
Among other recent appointments at the firm has been that of Legal & General's ex-group M&A and strategy director, Wadham Downing, as its new chief financial officer.
Towry has £9.1 billion (about $13.9 billion) of client assets under management or advice as of 30 June.
The firm, which has signalled its desire to become one of the UK’s most recognisable wealth management brands, discussed significant changes affecting the industry in a commentary for this publication (see here).
