UBS Rejigs US Segments With Raft Of Appointments

This publication has obtained an internal memo outlining changes that UBS is making to some of its US-based operations.
UBS has made a number of changes to some of its operations in the US, according to an internal memo obtained by this publication.
Michael McVicker will assume responsibility for its advisory business, in addition to his current role as head of IPS management and strategy. McVicker’s team will be responsible for the strategy and execution of its advisor managed and UBS advice operations, including such programs as ACCESS, Strategic Advisor and PACE.
McVicker will continue to lead its solutions development for sustainable investing (SI). Parks Strobridge, who joined UBS in 2016, will manage the advisor managed program, PMP, and will report to McVicker.
In addition to her current responsibilities, Casey Jojic will work closely with colleagues across UBS to execute its SI product and solutions strategy. Jojic will continue reporting to McVicker. Jim Langham, head of mandates investment solutions Americas, has been given direct responsibility for investment management research, as well as for the portfolio construction and execution teams. Langham will continue reporting jointly to Jason Chandler and Bruno Marxer, head of global mandates investment solutions.
Advisory sales
Brian Cain will lead its expanded advisory sales team under Paul
Santucci, head of field development and productivity.
Ken Lantigua, manager of the advisory consulting desk, will report to Cain.
Banking
In addition to their roles as division banking managers of the
West and East regions, respectively, Diane Aka–Bashorun and Jason
Zitter have been named co-heads of wealth management USA banking
field engagement.
They report to Michael Blum, head of WM USA banking and chairman of the board of UBS Bank USA.
Wealth management advice
Bonnie Park has gained responsiblity for the combined financial
planning business and wealth planning sales desk in Weehawken,
New Jersey.
Additionally, UBS will integrate its trust solutions team into the wealth management consulting organization managed by Bill Shad, who will now lead the combined wealth planning and trust consulting team. Park and Shad will continue reporting to John Amore.
Capital markets
On the capital markets team, UBS have given Steve Genyk the added
responsibility of overseeing all principal trading for fixed
income, leading municipal trading and competitive underwriting
teams, according to the memo. He is tasked with expanding the
offering to support middle market and ultra-high net worth
clients.
Genyk still reports to Mark Sanborn, head of its capital markets business. Don Oliver still lead its TFI retail trading, reporting to Genyk.
Ed Tishelman has taken on a new role as the head of the
institutional sales desk in Weehawken, jointly reporting into
Mark Sanborn and Peter Hill. Tishelman joined UBS in September
2017 as head of public finance strategies. Mike Ferrara is
taking on the newly-formed role of head of credit
products.
Eric Glicksman and the structured solutions team will also join
the capital markets division as part of the recent realignment of
UBS’ Wealth Management Americas and Wealth Management businesses
into the UBS Global Wealth Management division. He will report to
Mark Sanborn.
