UBS Leans Into Recruitment, Retention Efforts

The Switzerland-headquartered firm said it is bringing in an experienced Morgan Stanley figure to be field leader in areas relating to national talent recruitment and development.

UBS has appointed Ben Firestein as head of field leader development and head of national recruiting and retention, Global Wealth Management US.

Firestein will design and lead a manager leadership program; oversee business transition and succession plans for advisors; and drive national recruiting strategy and execution in collaboration with field leaders, according to an internal memo seen by this news service.

Prior to joining the Swiss firm, Firestein worked for more than 30 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently head of national recruiting for wealth management and private wealth management.

Earlier in his career, he managed the Morgan Stanley’s flagship Midtown Manhattan complex.

Firestein will be joining UBS in February 2025, based in New York, and reporting directly to Mike Camacho, head of global wealth management US.
