UBS Appoints Deputy Head For Americas CIO Office

The new deputy head at the office previously worked at JP Morgan.

UBS has appointed a new deputy head of its Americas chief investment office, this publication can confirm.

Solita Marcelli, who will start the job in October, joins UBS from JP Morgan's global wealth management business where she was global head of fixed income, currencies and commodities, according to an internal memo.

Russell Budnick has been named JP Morgan’s new global head of fixed income, and Scott Schnipper is the new global head of foreign exchange, commodities and rates. Marcelli will answer to Mike Ryan, who heads the North America division. He will work with John Mathews, head of the family office solutions group.

UBS GWM's Americas Investment Platforms and Solutions unit – which is separate from CIO and encompasses its SMA shelf and other Americas product and service platforms – remains unchanged under the continued leadership of Mark Sanborn, this publication understands.
