UBP Appoints Market Head For Southeast Asia

The private bank has appointed a market head for Southeast Asia.

Union Bancaire Privée, the Geneva-headquartered private bank, has appointed Febby Avianto in Singapore as market head, Southeast Asia, responsible for growing its Indonesian business.

In this role, Avianto reports to Ranjit Khanna, market head, South Asia and NRI Asia and Middle East, the firm said.

Previously, Avianto was a managing director at Falcon Private Bank in Singapore. Falcon Private Bank, along with BSI, was closed in Singapore by local authorities amid breaches of anti-money laundering controls. Avianto has also worked at Royal Bank of Canada, UBS and Bank Sarasin.

Avianto's role is a newly-created one, the bank told this news service.
