Two Singapore Hedge Fund Managers Seen As Among Top Players Of Future - HFJ

Two Singapore-based fund managers are included in The Hedge Fund Journal's Tomorrow's Titans: Blue Chips Managers for the Next Decade.

The two are Singaporean Tan Chin Hwee of Apollo (Singapore) and Hyder Ahmad, the founder of Broad Peak, Singapore.

The managers were selected from a total count of 40, of which the bulk were in London and New York, the publication said.

Only five fund managers based in Asia made it to the list of 40 fund managers. Seventeen are based in the US and 18 in Europe. Of those from Asia, two are based in Singapore, and three in Hong Kong.

According to the journal, a broad spectrum of the investment industry contributed to the survey, often on a confidential basis. Amongst allocators, it spoke to pension funds, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, funds of hedge funds, family offices, insurance companies, wealthy individuals, third party marketing agents and investment consultants.

Ernst & Young sponsored the survey.
