Towry has expanded its wealth advisory team in London with the hire of Michael Martin.

Towry, the UK-based wealth manager, has appointed Barclays' Michael Martin as a wealth advisor in London.

Martin joins from Barclays Wealth & Investment Management, where he served as a vice president in the firm's wealth advisory unit since 2010. Before this, he worked at RBS and Sedgwick Independent Financial Services.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to welcome someone of Michael’s calibre to Towry,” said Towry London's executive partner, Chris Cole. 

“Michael is an accomplished and highly qualified financial planner whose experience in advising partners of some of London’s top law and accountancy firms will undoubtedly boost our presence in this expanding area.”

Towry employs around 750 people across its network of UK offices. As of the end of 2014, it managed £6.4 billion ($9.7 billion) of client assets.
