Tiedemann Advisors Names New Chief Compliance Officer

The CCO comes from Carlson Capital, where she had served in a senior legal officer role.
Tiedemann Advisors has appointed Whitney Fogle Lewis as its new chief compliance officer and deputy general counsel. In this role, Lewis will oversee all aspects of the firm’s regulatory and compliance functions. The post was previously held by Kevin Moran, who is chief operating officer and general counsel.
Lewis will report directly to Moran.
“Her extensive experience executing regulatory compliance efforts and proven leadership qualities will enable us to promote efficiency and accuracy across our organization,” Moran said.
During her seven-year prior career at Carlson Capital, Lewis served as the deputy chief legal officer, providing strategic and legal guidance to business leaders and investment professionals as well as performing regulated compliance functions on behalf of the firm’s UK office. Prior to this, she practiced at Vinson & Elkins and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom.
Lewis has a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor of arts from Harvard College. As an active member of the community, she serves as a board member of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network and the NEW Roundtable.
Founded in 1999, Tiedemann has nine offices across the US and provides trust services through Tiedemann Trust Company, a state-chartered trust company located in Wilmington, Delaware.
