Three Hires At First Republic PWM From City National

First Republic Bank, the San Francisco-based provider of private banking and wealth management services, has hired three senior investment professionals from LA-headquartered City National Bank to join First Republic Private Wealth Management in Los Angeles.

Pamela Bennett, managing director, had worked for City National in Los Angeles for the past eight years, most recently as a senior vice president and private client advisor. Earlier in her career, she worked for UBS, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo.

Barbara Bruser, managing director and portfolio manager, was a senior vice president and director of equities at City National. She has also worked at Bank of America, Wells Fargo and RCM Capital Management.

Rod Olea, managing director and fixed income portfolio manager, was most recently a senior vice president and director of fixed income. He had joined City National from RNC Capital Management.

“The addition of three senior investment professionals in Los Angeles is part of an expansion of our wealth management capabilities in one of our key markets.” said Katherine August-deWilde, president of First Republic.
