David Douglas-Home, the Earl of Home, has retired as chairman of the UK private bank Coutts & Co. He will, however, continue as chairman of the
board for the firm’s international business, Switzerland-based Coutts & Co Ltd.

Having served as chairman of the UK board for the last 14 years, Lord Home left his position on 31 December 2013, a company spokesperson said.

He has been replaced by Lord Waldegrave of North Hill, who joined the Coutts UK board as a non-executive director in December 2012, and

Lord Waldegrave has previously worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and UBS, and sat on the board of Bank of Ireland (UK) and Fleming Family
and Partners.

Coutts, the wealth division of Royal Bank of Scotland, also recently appointed a new head of UK banking.
