Tax Planning Software Firm Partners With LPL Financial

The software takes some of the labor and drudgery from working out what sort of tax plans make sense for clients, the firms say.

Holistiplan, a US tax planning software business serving financial advisors, is partnering with Nasdaq-listed LPL Financial

As part of LPL’s vendor affinity program, Holistiplan will provide LPL’s nearly 21,000 financial advisors with discounted access to its platform as well as training and advice on best practices.

The software is designed to automate how advisors review a client’s tax return and find potential planning opportunities – removing some of the manual labor from the process.

“Our technology will allow both advisors new to tax planning and tax planning experts to have better conversations with their clients and to provide additional value to all of their clients quickly, uniformly and efficiently,” Roger Pine, CEO and co-founder of Holistiplan, said in a statement.

LPL’s executive vice president of wealth management solutions, Robert Pettman, said: “We believe comprehensive wealth management planning includes tax planning. Providing best-in-class tools such as Holistiplan helps advisors differentiate their tax-related offering. We view this access to Holistiplan’s software as a first step to helping advisors better plan for their clients’ needs. The platform’s automated processes should also give advisors more time to focus on building their clients’ comprehensive wealth management plans.”

Since launching in July 2019, Holistiplan has added more than over 13,000 users from across the country.
