TD Waterhouse Launches New Canadian Equity Fund

TD Waterhouse Private Investment Counsel, a subsidiary of TD Bank, has launched a new fund that will invest in a diverse range of Canadian equity aiming to achieve long-term capital appreciation.

The TD Private Diversified Canadian Equity Fund will invest a majority of its assets in, or providing exposure to, equity securities issued by Canadian corporations. The fund may also invest in Canadian-issued money market securities and bonds, and in commodities, as well as in units of other investment funds.

"This value-style fund offers our clients an investment to potentially grow while aiming to proactively defend a client's portfolio," said Dave Kelly, senior vice president, TDW PIC.

The fund is sold via an offering circular and is available to accredited investors of TDW PIC. It is only available through TDW PIC and is to be managed by John Kustec, managing director, TD Harbour Capital, a division of TD Asset Management.

TD Waterhouse Private Investment Counsel is a private client money management firm. It provides discretionary investment management services to high net worth individuals and their families, small and mid-size corporations, charitable organizations and foundations, and executors and trustees from coast to coast.
