Madey "will leverage his knowledge and experience in investment-program management, asset allocation, multi-manager investment structures and wealth management to expand SunGard's expertise in helping financial institutions to better manage client portfolios and more effectively serve private clients," according to a SunGard press release.

SunGard bought Sacramento, Calif.-based Advisor Technologies, formerly London Pacific Advisors, in 2003.

Wayne, Pa.-based SunGard provides software and investment-processing services to financial-service companies. -FWR
