The board of directors of SunGard, the software and technology services giant, has approved the appointment of Harold Finders as chief executive of its Financial Systems business.

Finders has been with the firm since 1996, when it acquired NCS Financial Systems, and has held several senior roles.

During his former career he worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and led the divestment of its private banking software business, subsequently taking the role of managing director and then selling the business to NCS in 1994. 

SunGard Financial Systems provides software and IT services to institutions throughout the financial services industry.
