String Of Hires At Wells Fargo Advisors

With $1.4 trillion in client assets as of December 31, 2014, Wells Fargo Advisors provides investment advice through 15,187 full-service financial advisors and 3,852 licensed bankers.

Wells Fargo Advisors, the brokerage firm, has made a handful of hires in four states from Morgan Stanley.

Details of the hires are:

  • Jeffrey Katz has joined in San Rafael, CA, and previously managed more than $174 million in client assets.
  • Mitchell Gravelle has joined in Ballantyne, NC, and previously managed over $100 million in assets.
  • Juan Ley and Tiffany Callahan have been hired in Tucson, AZ.  They previously managed $214 million in combined client assets.
  • Frank Banks has joined in Birmingham, MI, having previously managed nearly $40 million in client assets.

Last week, WFA appointed Jim McHale as chief compliance officer, replacing Bob Mooney, who has become chief compliance officer of Wells Fargo's wealth, brokerage and retirement unit.
