Stonnington appoints ex-Raymond James executive

Los Angeles boutique brings in former Florida-based investment consultant. The Stonnington Group, a Los Angeles-based investment advisory, has hired former Raymond James executive Aaron Werner as an investment advisor. He'll be giving Stonnington's individual clients advice on investments and potfolio stratgey and he'll be scanning their investments and asset allocations to ensure suitability.

Big move

"Aaron's addition to the team is an important step in our growth as a company," says Stonnington's president Nick Stonnington. "He brings tremendous expertise, insight and energy to the group."

Before making the move to Stonnington -- and to the West Coast -- Werner was a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based regional v.p. in Raymond James's asset-management group. He has also been a separately managed account product specialist with Raymond James.

At Stonnington, Werner joins Nick Stinnington, chief compliance officer John Yung, CIO Attila Soos, sales head Rod Hagenbuch and client relations manager Arlene Hebron.

Werner is finishing an MBA from Warrington business school at the University of Florida.

Nick Stonnington founded the firm that bears his name in 2004, after more than 20 years with Merrill Lynch. It manages about $250 million and its median relationship size is between $5 million and $10 million. -FWR
