State Street, Wharton to publish wealth studies

Investment manager and business school vow to improve
wealth-market research. The Wharton School and State Street
Global Advisors (SSgA) are teaming up to publish research
intended to foster greater wealth management acumen among
financial advisors and other investment professionals.
“The ability to combine SSgA's vast knowledge together with
Wharton's should result in the highest quality wealth management
research reports,” says Gus Fleites, head of SSgA's Advisor
Strategies group. “This relationship represents an incredible
opportunity to provide our clients with valuable investment
insights that they can use to cultivate and enhance their
businesses.”
SSgA will work with Knowledge@Wharton, Wharton’s online research
and business analysis journal, to produce reports aimed at
improving the quality of practical wealth management research for
financial professionals. The reports, which are slated to appear
at least quarterly, will be available at Knowledge@Wharton’s
website. The first report is due out early in 2006.
The alliance “combines the expertise and intellectual resources
of [SSgA] with the research and distribution capabilities of
Knowledge@Wharton,” says Knowledge@Wharton’s editor Mukul Pandya.
“The resulting research will add significant value to the rich
content that Knowledge@Wharton makes available to the global
business community.”
SSgA is the investment management group of Boston-based State
Street Corporation.
