"Leo represents the very standard with which we approach our
business. His knowledge and credentials are impeccable," says
Jack Staley, head of Stanford's Zurich-based European unit
Stanford Group (Suisse) AG. "We are delighted that he's decided
to build the next phase of his career with Stanford."
AG stands for Aktiengesellschaft -- German for "stock
society," which is roughly equivalent to the U.S. term "public
company."
Schrutt had been head of research and portfolio management in
Zurich-based Julius Baer's private-banking division.
Schrutt, a 23-year veteran of the investment advisory business,
says he plans to contribute his "global expertise and experience
to help ensure that Stanford is even better positioned to grow
its business in Zurich and throughout Europe and the Middle
East."
Stanford Group (Suisse) AG provides investment advisory and
discretionary asset management along with trust services and
research.
Stanford has a network of affiliated offices in the United
States, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. -FWR
