South Carolina-Led Wealth Management Joins Osaic

The firm cited succession planning and access to Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management among the reasons for its move to Osaic.

Freehold Wealth Management, a family-led advisory firm headquartered in Landrum, South Carolina, has joined Osaic. The firm, which oversees about $576 million in client assets, was previously affiliated with Stifel Independent Advisors.

Freehold first affiliated with Osaic in April 2026. Financial professionals Shelley Strobel-Erhardt, James Thornton, Mark Bloomer, Michael Wiseman and Jerry Pyles joined subsequently.

The firm is led by president Cynthia “Cindy” Boyle, John Boyle and managing partner Mary Steele, the Boyles’ daughter. It began as a husband-and-wife practice and now has advisors serving clients in Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina. Its work centers on estate and trust planning.

The team said it chose Osaic for its scale, its succession-planning resources and access to the asset management and research capabilities of Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management, an Osaic affiliate.

Osaic, a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners, is one of the largest US wealth management providers, supporting about 11,000 financial professionals.

The move adds to a run of recruits for Osaic. Recent arrivals include Pearce Financial, Signature Private Wealth Management and Neville & Associates.
