O’Connell has been charged with building out a local private banking team in Boston and the surrounding region.

Webster Private Bank has recruited Christopher O’Connell as senior vice president, senior private banker and regional market executive for Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

He will be based in Boston and report to Peter Gabriel, senior vice president and director of relationship management and sales.

O'Connell joins Webster from Boston Private Bank and Trust Company (see a story on this firm today here), where he was senior vice president and manager of investment sales.
