Securities America Reports Advisor Increase

Securities America added 329 advisors representing over $45.5 million in revenue last year, a 14 per cent increase in recruited revenue over 2008, the Omaha-based independent broker-dealer announced yesterday.

The firm ended the year with 1,933 total advisors, an increase of 18 percent over the year-end 2008 total and 10 percent ahead of its goal for the year.

Securities America, which has more than $13 billion in assets under management and administration, also said it spent $9.1 million on technology enhancements in 2009.
