Savant Seals Largest Partnership Deal To Date In Massachusetts

The nationwide wealth management group said the deal – the price of which wasn't disclosed – will expand its Massachusetts presence.
Savant Wealth Management, an RIA, has forged its largest partnership to date, linking up with Heritage Financial, a Massachusetts-based wealth management firm with $3.9 billion in AuM and offices in Westwood, Woburn, and Rockland.
The firms – both majority employee-owned – closed the deal on February 27.
The move expands Savant’s Massachusetts presence; it already has an office in Wellesley. It is also an example of the kind of wealth management M&A activity that continues to set records, as recently reported on here.
Savant did not disclose the financial terms, and Turkey Hill Management advised Heritage on the deal.
Of Heritage’s 47 employees, 15 have joined Savant as member-owners, including founder and chairman Charles Bean, III, and president and CEO Sammy Azzouz. The rest of the Heritage team became Savant employees at closing.
Bean founded Heritage in 1995.
“As we celebrate 40 years in business, it’s especially meaningful to mark this milestone with our largest partnership to date,” Brent Brodeski, founder and CEO of Savant, said in a statement.
Savant now has four offices in Massachusetts. Across the US, it has 50 offices in 21 states. Marking its 40th anniversary, the firm oversees about $42.3 billion in assets under management and $1.7 billion in assets under advisement (as of February 28).
