The new practice will be led by a former vice president at Merrill Lynch.

California-based Yuva Wealth Planning has joined tru Independence's wealth manager advisory platform.

The new practice will be led by Ahmet Sumer, who was most recently a vice president and financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in San Diego, where he will continue his new business.

Sumer has 20 years of experience in banking and private wealth management, both in the US and abroad for firms including JP Morgan, HSBC and Wells Fargo.
