SEI's Advisor Business Unit Gets A Makeover

The unit provides a technology solution helping advisors to streamline their businesses.

The US-based investments and tech solutions firm SEI is rebranding its financial advisory business unit as Independent Advisor Solutions by SEI (Independent Advisor Solutions).

The unit provides a technology solution helping advisors to streamline their businesses. So far, it serves over 7,500 advisors collectively overseeing $65.3 billion of assets, as at the end of June.

The organization's SEI platform integrates services advisors' need to run their businesses, such as financial planning software, external CRMs, investment solutions and back-office functions. All SEI financial advisor clients are expected to be on the platform by early next year, SEI said in a statement.

"Today's advisors should not be expected to support the technology that drives their businesses. The platform is designed to eliminate that responsibility, maximizing independent advisors' abilities to support their client," Wayne Withrow, executive vice president of SEI and head of Independent Advisor Solutions, said.
