SC Capital Partners Group Adds Team Members Across Asia

The new hires are based in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Singapore-based SC Capital Partners Group has appointed a group of managers for its funds.
The business has named Man Yik ("M Y") Chiu (pictured) as managing director and head of asset management for its Real Estate Capital Asia Partners series of opportunistic funds. It has also appointed June Kim Kyoung Joon as executive director for its Japan Hospitality Fund, Justin Cham as investment director, and Jester Perez as research director.
Chiu is based in Hong Kong and concentrates on managing RECAP investments across the Asia-Pacific region. He was formerly at CapitaLand Investment Management where he was responsible for overseeing all assets in the value-add fund, including the development and execution of asset enhancement plans. Before this, he worked for 13 years with LaSalle Investment Management, where he was the head of asset management for Greater China.
Based in Tokyo, Kim will focus on acquisition, value enhancement and realisation activities for JHF. Kim was previously with EGW Asset Management as a director of asset management of hotels for five years, where she worked on asset management of the hotel portfolio across Japan, and supported the hotel acquisition, hotel development and developed relationships with Korean institutional investors. Prior to EGW, Kim was with Fortress Investment Group Japan.
Based in Singapore, Cham is involved in various acquisitions, asset management, value enhancement and realisation activities. Prior to joining the firm, Cham spent over six years with Keppel Capital and Keppel DC REIT, where he was last head of investments, global.
Perez, also based in Singapore, oversees internal research across the firm’s strategies, covering the Asia-Pacific market. Perez has joined from Lendlease, where he worked for 10 years overseeing the research in Asia and providing research house views and strategic insights.
