Russell Investments Makes Senior Appointments, Adds To Wealth Capabilities

The investment house, which held $355 billion in AuM at the end of June, has made a clutch of top-line appointments, including those touching on the wealth management sector.

US-headquartered Russell Investments has appointed Emily Steinbarth and Brad Jung as co-heads of North America advisor and intermediary services, it announced yesterday.

The duo joins Brad Jung in leading the firm’s advisor business across the US and Canada. Both report to Zach Buchwald, chairman and CEO.

Steinbarth, formerly chief of staff to the CEO, has experience in product strategy, investments, and client and corporate strategy. In her new role, she will lead the firm’s strategic accounts team, and RIA and platform relationships, while accelerating time-to-market for ETF and model portfolio solutions.

Jung, a 20-year veteran of Russell Investments who has led the AIS business for the past five years, will continue to lead the firm’s advisor distribution strategy and sales team.

“Advisors today are under pressure to do more to deliver better outcomes, to manage tax impact, and to scale their practice efficiently,” Buchwald, chairman and CEO, said. “Today’s leadership appointments reflect our investment in the business and our commitment to delivering even more for advisors.”

Wealth strategy and solutions
Separately, the firm recently appointed Ravi Arulanantham as global head of wealth strategy and solutions. Arulanantham will lead development of Russell Investments’ wealth offering – including ETFs, separately managed accounts, interval funds, and model portfolios.

In June, the firm launched five multi-manager exchange-traded funds.

Shweta Narasimhadevara has joined the firm as chief solutions officer, a job involving management of the global product team. Based in New York and reporting to president and chief investment officer Kate El-Hillow, Narasimhadevara will oversee the strategy, development, and commercialization of products and solutions across Russell Investments’ wealth, institutional, and alternatives channels.

Narasimhadevara previously served in senior roles at State Street, Bank of New York, and Barclays.

The firm has $355 billion in assets under management (as of June 30, 2025.)
