Royal Bank Of Canada Names New International Wealth Boss

The current head of RBC Wealth Management - International is taking on a new role in Canada in May.

Ashif Ratanshi has been appointed as RBC’s new head of international wealth management, taking the reins from Stuart Rutledge on 1 May.

Based in London, Ratanshi will lead RBC’s wealth management businesses in the UK, Channel Islands and Asia, reporting to Doug Guzman, group head of wealth management and insurance.

Rutledge, meanwhile, is assuming a new leadership role at RBC in Toronto. He will take on the role currently occupied by Ratanshi, and his title will be senior vice president of personal deposits and investments for Canada, RBC told WealthBriefing in a memo.

Ratanshi has worked at RBC for many years, most recently as senior vice president of personal deposits and investments, and personal and commercial banking. He was also previously vice president of direct investing and managing director at Dominion Securities, and has spent three years as president and CEO of Security First Network Bank.
