Rothschild Names New Private Client Co-Head

Rothschild Wealth Management has named former Morgan Stanley veteran Jon Andrea von Planta as the new co-head of its private client business in Zurich, a role which he will take up at the start of next month.
Joining Rothschild from an asset management advisory company which he founded, von Planta will share responsibility for the private client business with Riccardo Petrachi, who joined from UBS in March of last year.
During his 16 years at Morgan Stanley von Planta was instrumental in building the US firm’s ultra high net worth business in continental Europe. Having been based in London he then moved to Zurich in 2008 to run a single-family office as chief investment officer, before founding his asset management advisory company in 2010.
Rothschild Wealth Management currently has €12 billion (around $16 billion) in assets under management. The firm’s management has said that it is aiming for “high single-digit” percentage annual growth in AuM.
