Rothschild Makes Two Appointments To London Team

Rothschild Private Banking and Trust has continued its expansion by making two top appointments to its London investment team.

Rob Stewart has been made head of fixed income while Hugo Capel-Cure has been hired as a senior portfolio manager.

Mr Stewart joins the bank from UBS Wealth Management, where he was a senior investment manager and managed the UBS Active Bond Fund.

Mr Capel-Cure joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director and equity specialist. He has also managed funds for RBS Coutts & Co in his prior career.

“I am delighted that we have found two individuals with Rob and Hugo’s experience and track record to join our investment team in London…These appointments will help us to meet the growing demand for our client-centric and impartial approach,” said Dirk Wiedmann, head of investments, Rothschild Private Banking and Trust.

Over the past two years Rothschild has doubled its number of client facing staff and grown its client list by 30 per cent. The firm currently has €10.5 billion ($15.6 billion) in assets under management.
