Rockefeller Continues Hiring Push

The recently-launched firm is pressing on with its recruitment drive in the US.

Rockefeller Capital Management, the recently-launched firm, has appointed that Michael Brakey and Grace Yoon will join it, adding to a run of moves in the past couple of weeks.

Brakey will be head of credit and banking in the wealth management business, developing client deposit and credit solutions, including asset-based lending, in support of broad client strategic and liquidity needs.

Yoon will be the chief operating officer of strategic advisory as well as head of strategic Initiatives for the firm overall. Yoon will join the executive committee, and Brakey will join the firm’s operating committee.

Previously, Brakey was a managing director and head of high-net-worth lending at Morgan Stanley, which he joined in 2011 to help accelerate the firm’s banking growth strategy. Prior to this, Brakey spent almost 18 years at Merrill Lynch, later Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he finished as a managing director and head of global wealth credit strategy and investment lending.

Yoon was most recently a senior executive in financial services advisory at Ernst & Young, advising financial institutions in areas of transformation, innovation and strategy. Previously, Yoon was a managing director at Morgan Stanley, responsible for driving wealth and asset management growth for investment banking clients.

Rockefeller expects to add more professionals and independent board directors, it said in its statement this week.
