Robertson Stephens WM Adds Teams, AuM In Northeast, California

The firm has added two wealth firms to its embrace on both sides of the US.
Robertson Stephens Wealth Management has boosted its presence in the US northeast and in California with two deals.
The firm has welcomed LFS Wealth Advisors, a San Ramon, California-based RIA with around $210 million in advisory assets with an additional office in Burlingame. In the second case, it has added Vodia Capital, a Boston-based RIA formed in 2004, managing more than $160 million in advisory assets.
In the LFS move, its founder and managing director, John Lau, is joining Robertson Stephens as MD and principal. Lau will be joined by his colleagues Helen Lau, Matthew Lau, Diana Cason, Michael Stephens, Jennifer Spence, Carmen Liu and Jialin Liu.
The LFS business serves the San Francisco Bay Area.
In the case of Vodia, its founder and managing principal, David Matias, and principal, Avi Deutsch, will join with colleagues Brandon Frye, Chuning Wang, Janet Shetty and Mammad Aliyev.
The moves are examples of the kind of partnerships and M&A activity that has been a notable feature of the North American market in recent years, although the chillier economic and financial climate in 2022 has seen deal volumes drop somewhat.
