Raymond James Snaps Up $114 Million Advisor Trio From Morgan Stanley

The Florida-based firm has boosted its presence in the Centennial State.
Raymond James has recruited a trio of financial advisors from Morgan Stanley, where they collectively managed more than $114 million in client assets, to join its Colorado Springs office.
Janis Cross, Matthew West and AJ Schultz all joined from the Wall Street giant, where they had $1.13 million in annual revenues. They primarily serve individuals and families - in particular military families – as well as business owners and entrepreneurs.
Cross kick-started her financial services career in 1997 with Morgan Stanley.
West began working in the industry in 2001 with Citigroup/Smith Barney, and became a financial advisor in 2004. He remained with the firm after it was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 2009.
Schultz interned with Smith Barney while he attended the University of Colorado, and joined full-time after he graduated with a BS in finance. He became a financial advisor in 2011.
Each of them ran solo practices until they decided to form a team and join Raymond James.
“Each of these advisors puts their clients’ interests first, which completely aligns with our values and focus, making them a great addition to the firm,” said Pat Allison, Western division director for Raymond James Associates.
