Raymond James Shakes Up Advisor Succession, Capital Solutions Structure

The St Petersburg-headquartered group has made top management changes to fit succession consulting, acquisition planning and capital solutions more snugly together for advisors.
Raymond James has recast parts of its business leadership to improve managing advisor succession planning and capital solutions.
Succession planning, for example, is a major hurdle to overcome for many advisors reaching retirement age, as written about here and here.
From October 1, Emma Boston, senior vice president, succession and capital, will report to Patrick O'Connor, chief operating officer of the private client group, while Rob Goff, vice president, succession and acquisition consulting, will report to Boston, Raymond James said in a statement yesterday.
“The enhanced structure aligns succession consulting, acquisition planning and capital solutions resources to provide a seamless experience and broader set of strategic options for advisors,” it said.
In other recent news this week, Raymond James named Scott Curtis, its COO, to lead the firm's bank segment next year.
