Raymond James Names Head Of Financial Institutions Division

The financial services firm has hired a senior VP following the move of a former top executive.

Raymond James Financial Services, the US-based financial services firm, has named Tim Killgoar as senior vice president and head of the financial institutions division.

Killgoar joined the division as director of strategy and consulting in 2015. He previously served as Raymond James’ director of client experience and from 2008 to 2010 he worked directly for the firm’s former chairman and CEO, Tom James. Prior to joining Raymond James, Killgoar worked at Bank of America where he was an internal consultant on operational and technology integration projects and as a consultant for Andersen LLP.

“After a diligent review of external and internal candidates, I am pleased we will continue to benefit from Tim’s strategic insight into the business as he takes on this leadership role,” said Scott Curtis, president of Raymond James. “We are fortunate John will continue supporting our bank and credit union clients and financial advisors in the Eastern Division.”

Killgoar will succeed John Houston, CFP, who announced in December that he would be stepping down from his division leadership position to take on the role of FID Eastern Division director, while achieving his personal goal of returning to the Nashville, TN, area to be closer to extended family.

“I am thankful to Scott Curtis and the Raymond James leadership team for supporting my transition into this new role,” said Houston. “I am excited for what the future holds for me and my family as we return to our long-time hometown area, and am pleased to continue to be a part of the division under Tim’s leadership.”
