Raymond James Adds Three Advisors In Texas

Raymond James’ broker/dealer business has made a triple appointment to its independent channel.
Raymond James Financial Services, part of New York-listed Raymond James, has recruited independent advisors Jason Croix, Michael MacRory and Jeffrey Shoop in Texas. They manage a combined total of $466 million in client assets.
They have previously worked together at Edward Jones before moving to LPL within a year of each other in the early 2000s.
Croix manages about $235 million in client assets and operates as Croix Wealth Management, based in El Campo, Texas. Also joining Croix at Raymond James are financial advisor Melissa Guttenberger, client service manager Kim Staff and client service associates Sherry Stanley and Sara Potts.
MacRory, an advisor at Houston-based Centre Wealth Management, manages about $135 million in assets. He will be joined by client service associate Carmen Laughlin and branch manager Haydee Miller.
Shoop, operating as Shoop Financial Services in Center, Texas, manages about $96 million. Joining him at Raymond James will be client service representatives Cheryl Green and Allison Sanford.
“They came from three different offices, yet through conducting due diligence together, all three found the research, technology, support and freedom at Raymond James to best meet their needs and the needs of their clients going forward,” said Kirk Bell, Central regional director for RJFS, of the new advisor appointments.
“We’re looking forward to using the firm’s technology, particularly the Account Aggregation tool, which will help document external assets and give our clients a more holistic financial picture. Being on this platform will help us and our clients across the board,” said MacRory.
Earlier this week, Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James offering wealth management and financial planning services, recruited the Decker Global Wealth Group to join its Annapolis, Maryland office.
