Rainier Investment Management Goes Live On Charles River Data Service

Seattle-based Rainier Investment Management has gone live on the Charles River data service of US-headquartered Charles River Development, for reference data and real-time equity and fixed income market information.
Rainier’s portfolio managers and traders receive data that is aggregated, mapped and supplied directly to the Charles River Investment Management System, which they have used since 2006, the firm said.
"The Charles River data service offers a solution to increasing data costs and data management complexity," said Ian Sale, director of information technology at Rainier. "By utilizing Charles River’s data services, we now have a single point of contact for order management system data and software."
"The one-stop shop model simplifies support and increases the value we get from Charles River IMS’s portfolio management and compliance functionality," Sale continued.
Integration with Charles River IMS also provides overnight as well as daily data updates. Real-time data - from over 180 exchanges worldwide - is streamed into Charles River IMS, offering portfolio managers the “pricing data necessary for real-time portfolio valuation and analysis,” in turn facilitating volatility and liquidity evaluation, the firm said.
