RIA Head At Fidelity To Leave

The head of the RIA segment of the US firm is leaving.

The head of the RIA segment of Fidelity Investments is leaving the US firm at the end of January, the business has confirmed to this publication.

Bob Oros has announced the news to colleagues this week.

"Bob Oros has made a personal decision to leave Fidelity in order to take on a unique, new professional challenge. Bob has had an impressive career. He has made many contributions to our RIA business during his five-year tenure and we thank him for his service. We will begin an active search for Bob’s replacement," a spokesperson said in a statement.

"In the interim, the seasoned team of seven Regional Managing Directors (RMDs) will report directly into Sanjiv Mirchandani, president of Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions. We are fortunate to have such a strong group of leaders within the RMD team who will continue to manage and grow our clients during this transition," the spokersperson said.

Oros has been with the firm for five years; previously, he was at Trust Company of America. Prior to that he also worked at LPL Holdings and Charles Schwab Corp.
