RBC Wealth Management Hires Ex-Morgan Stanley Team

The Royal Bank of Canada's wealth management arm has recruited a team of Morgan Stanley financial advisors to join its office in the sunshine state.

RBC Wealth Management has recruited a new team of financial advisors to join its Beverly Hills office, according to Mike Melton, director of the firm's Beverly Hills complex.

The Frankel Patt Group, comprised of financial advisors Richard Frankel and Shawn Patt, along with Constance Johnson, senior registered client associate, join from Morgan Stanley with around $507 million in assets under management.

Frankel joins as an industry veteran with 43 years' experience, while Patt brings 14.

“Our momentum continues to build at RBC Wealth Management with the addition of great financial advisors like Richard and Shawn to our Beverly Hills office,” said director Melton. “Their client-centric focus and industry experience and knowledge truly make them great additions to the firm.”

RBC last year acquired California-based City Bank. The combination of the two organizations creates a powerful platform for long-term growth in Southern California and the US by allowing financial advisors to leverage the capabilities of each to better serve clients, RBC said in a statement.
