RBC Global Asset Management US Hires New Chief Executive
The new CEO joined the firm in 2014. The organization has also made a number of senior-level appointments and personnel changes.
RBC Global Asset Management, (RBC GAM) has appointed a new CEO – Donald Sanya – for its US business.
Officially assuming the role on August 1 when predecessor Mike Lee retires, Sanya will report to Damon Williams, chief executive for RBC GAM.
Sanya will continue to assume his role as managing director and head of RBC GAM’s US institutional business and will oversee RBC GAM's business in the US.
Sanya joined RBC GAM in 2014 as MD, US institutional sales.
RBC GAM’s US business is made up of about 200 employees.
In other moves, Brandon Lew, MD and co-head, business finance at RBC Global Asset Management, will assume the additional title of president, RBC GAM-US upon Lee’s retirement. Lew is based in Minneapolis.
Ken Tyszko, senior portfolio manager, US equities, retired from RBC Global Asset Management, effective May 31, 2024. After 15 years of working alongside Tyszko, Rich Drage, portfolio manager, has switched into the role of senior portfolio manager with responsibility for the firm’s US Small Cap Growth Equity and US SMID Cap Growth Equity strategies.
