Private Risk Management Association Unveils Certification Curriculum

The PRMA, which is committed to the growth of the high net worth risk management and insurance niche, has introduced its certification curriculum.

The Florida-based Private Risk Management Association has launched the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor certification.

The CPRIA curriculum, created by and for high net worth risk and insurance specialists, will be available through the PRMA University online campus for professional development.

It will cover the following six segments:  1 – Fundamentals of personal risk management;  2 – Understanding the high net worth universe;  3 – Strategic coverage placement; 4 – Lifecycle of the account; 5 – Introduction to specialty insurance; and 6 – Life safety and protection.

Enrollment for the first segment will begin on May 19, the association said. Upon completion of all segments, participants will receive the CPRIA designation.

“From day one, PRMA has been committed to excellence in the high net worth insurance category. The CPRIA certification will be the tangible embodiment of that excellence for all who achieve it, as the curriculum was designed by many of the finest expert practitioners in our niche,” said PRMA executive director, Lisa Lindsay.

Members of the non-profit PRMA include insurance agents and brokers as well as other specialists who serve wealthy individuals.
