Potomac FM Hails $5 Billion Milestone, Says It Will Almost Double HQ Space

The asset manager said it has added $2 billion of client assets since the start of this year, having grown rapidly from just $140 million six years ago.

Potomac Fund Management, an asset manager, said it is almost doubling the size of its Bethesda headquarters to accommodate growth, with construction due to finish in October this year. Ths week, the firm announced that it has surpassed $5 billion in AuM.

The firm has expanded from having $140 million in AuM at the end of 2019, adding $2 billion in the last eight months, it said. 

“If you can’t grow given today’s technology and efficiency tailwinds, you should sell your business,” Manish Khatta, CEO of Potomac, said. “The formula is simple: lead with content and transparency sprinkled with the relentless will to reinvest back into your business.”

Potomac has launched an enhanced Self-Directed Brokerage Account (SDBA) solution, expanding distribution for its Focused Growth Strategy and widened adoption of its advisor-focused analytics tool, Guardrails. The firm said it is developing more research capabilities and advisor education resources.
