The firm has opened an office in Silicon Valley.

Plancorp, a wealth management firm overseeing $3.7 billion in client assets, has opened a new office in San Jose, California.

The new office is located in the same building as Plancorp's sister company and digital-driven wealth firm BrightPlan, which will allow for closer collaboration with clients and between the two companies, both of which are subsidiaries of Prumentum Group.

"This region represents an important growth area for our firm - plus, around half of our California clients are already located in the Bay Area," Plancorp president and CEO Chris Kerckhoff, said.

Plancorp specializes in financial planning, retirement plan management, exit strategy for business owners, and institutional asset management. The firm, based in St Louis, also has offices in Nashville, Tennessee, and Sarasota, Florida.
