Pitcairn Appoints Managing Director In DC

The US multi-family office has appointed a new managing director in Washington, DC.
Pennsylvania-headquartered Pitcairn has appointed Laurie Martin as managing director within its relationship management discipline in Washington, DC.
Martin brings over 25 years of experience in the investment service industry. She previously spent a decade with Fortigent, part of LPL Financial, where she served as senior vice president and managing director of wealth consulting. Prior to this, she was vice president at Fidelity Investments.
In her new role, she will lead the company’s Washington, DC team, managing growth initiatives in the DC market. She will oversee the delivery of investment and family office services, including long-term financial plans, portfolio management, and tax planning. She will also sit on Pitcairn’s investment strategy and operating committees. Martin will report to Averill Jarvis, managing director of client services and head of all of Pitcairn’s relationship teams.
“Pitcairn is very fortunate to have someone with the wealth of experience that Laurie brings to the organization and we are confident that our clients will benefit from her wide-ranging expertise,” Jarvis said. “Laurie is no stranger to Pitcairn. She was part of the Fortigent team that helped Pitcairn make the move to its open architecture investment platform in 2008.”
The new hire follows that of Mark McCarron as managing director of investment strategy in Philadelphia earlier this month.
