Pictet has launched an Emerging Markets Large Cap Fund, which will invest in a diversified portfolio of liquid shares in mid to large companies based in and/or having their main activity in emerging markets. The fund will be managed by the bank’s emerging markets team based in London.

The investment universe of the fund is composed of 1,200 core emerging markets companies and around 100 developed market stocks, mostly listed in Hong Kong and Singapore. Pictet said the universe is then reduced by way of a trading volume filter to identify the most liquid investment opportunities.

Pictet said the fund was mostly for institutional investors, although private investors would also be marketed to. The minimum investment is $1 million. Management fees are between 1.5 per cent and 2.5 per cent, depending on the level of investment.
