Pathstone Taps Former Schwab Figure As Chief Growth Officer

These are busy times for Pathstone, a business that now has almost $100 billion in assets under management. It bought Hall Capital, an investment advisor, in October.

Pathstone, the US multi-family office that recently secured a major acquisition, has named former senior Schwab figure Eddie Brown (pictured) as chief growth officer.

Brown will lead the overall organic growth strategy and spearhead business development priorities across Pathstone’s three subsidiaries: Pathstone Family Office, Willow Street Trust Company, and Advisor Partners.

In his most recent role, Brown served as a managing director, member of the Schwab Advisor Services leadership team and head of Schwab Advisor Family Office and the Premier Wealth Group.

“We have an extensive history and relationship with Eddie dating back to our launch in 2010, where his advocacy and expert guidance has been instrumental to our firm’s journey and success,” Matt Fleissig, CEO and co-founder of Pathstone, said.

Prior to Schwab, Brown was a senior leader at Fidelity Family Office Services.

Brown holds a bachelor of arts degree in business and economics from St. Andrews University and is a graduate of the Wharton School of Executive Education through the Securities Industry Institute.

Pathstone’s appointment of Brown comes shortly after its acquisition of Hall Capital Partners, a move examined by FWR’s US correspondent, Charles Paikert. That deal took Pathstone’s AuM to almost $100 billion.
