Stacy Rush has been appointed principal of Pathstone Family Office’s risk management group, the firm announced yesterday.

Rush will join Pathstone's Atlanta office, which now has 17 employees since the firm's launch in June.

She will focus on property insurance, Allan Zachariah, co-founder and managing director of Pathstone, told Family Wealth Report.

“These types of assets tend to be among the client’s most prized possessions,” Zachariah said. “We feel this in-house expertise is a real value-add to help them manage risk.”

Rush will be working closely with the insurance brokerage community, Zachariah said, and the risk management work will be included as part of Pathstone’s annual retainer for family office services.

Rush has more than 18 years of risk management experience,  including more than a decade at Chubb Insurance, where she focused on the firm's Signature and VIP clients, developed new product education programs and managed agency relationships and business planning for independent agents and brokers.

Pathstone was opened by industry veterans Steve Braverman and Zachariah in June with offices in New York, Atlanta and New Jersey.

The former Harris myCFO executives, when they first set up the business, claimed approximately 20 families as clients, representing combined assets under advisement of more than $2 billion.
