The organization, which has grown by a mix of organic and inorganic growth, has made a significant move in its wealth planning area.
Pathstone, the US family office, has appointed Jim Coutré as a new managing director and head of the wealth planning. He will be based in Pathstone’s Boston office.
Coutré was previously the vice president of insights and connections for Fidelity Family Office Services, a segment of Fidelity Institutional.
Prior to 2014, Coutré was a partner at The Philanthropic Initiative, where he served as a philanthropy advisor. He holds the Advanced Certificate in Family Wealth Advising and the Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute.
Pathstone has grown by a mix of organic and inorganic growth. In March 2021, for example, it joined up with RIA firm Cornerstone Capital Group. Cornerstone has expertise in sustainable and impact investing, adding to Pathstone’s work in this area.
In February, Pathstone agreed to buy Rex Capital Advisors, a firm that is based in Providence, Rhode Island.
